Summary: Dr. Gabrie'l J Atchison offers productions,
workshops, and publications that give Black women and girls
the tools to heal and express themselves through the performing
arts. Her site was in need of a redesign and also required
some additions, such as a new Store section with a Paypal
shopping cart, and a dynamic Contact form. I created two design
concepts, and after refining one to the client's liking built
out the entire new site. |

been performing to critical acclaim for more than 13 years
and needed a website to showcase his talents. We worked with

Summary: Adapted the text of an address by keynote speaker, oncology social worker, and cancer survivor Hester Hill into a series of streaming multimedia files available on the BIDCM website. Obtained permission for reuse of previously published text and photos in the speech. Worked with the A/V department at Beth Israel to film Hester on location at her home and storyboarded cross-cuts. Published completed product through BIDMC content management system. |

Summary: Assisted in redesign of Beth Israel Deaconess
Medical Center website, which involved migration of over 42,000
pages of content into a unified design container and proprietary
in-house content management system. Worked with writers, programmers,
and hospital staff to update content for various hospital
deparments, including a complete overhaul of the Transplant
Center's web content. Other departments included Palliative
Care, Pulmonary and Critical Care, Center for Minimally Invasive
Surgery, and the Pancreas Center. |

templates for text and HTML-formatted newsletters.
The HTML-formatted mailing needed to display properly across
a broad range of operating systems and email clients. After
extensive testing, provided a template that worked across both
Mac and PC platforms, in HTML-capable email clients, and also
in Web-accessible email, including Hotmail and Yahoo Mail. Also created scalable newsletter section of the Go Ahead Vacations website. |

Summary: Client required stand-alone entry pages to support
bulk mailings. These pages included lead-generation forms with
a number of required fields. Coded the pages, prepared graphics,
and wrote validation code that forced users to complete all
required fields before submitting. Completed three projects
for this client in the same vein. |

Summary: This monthly newsletter appeared both on the
website and in a mailed version similar to the Go Ahead Vacations project described
above. Worked with a team of professionals to create a new
section that merged seamlessly with the site's existing look
and feel. Considerations included creating a scalable architecture
to accomodate a growing archive of back issues, creating templates
to cut down on production hours for future issues, and a subscription
form that feeds information directly into the company mailing
database.
Also made improvements to the site's original
navigation code, making it leaner, more efficient, and easier to update. |
